Wow, you sure have a lot of patience Dr. Bob!

Posted by Deneb on July 9, 2009, at 14:42:05

I try to read admin sometimes, but it gets so boring and tedious. I don't know how you do it Dr. Bob. You really read posts and then you answer them. Wow. I have so much more time than you yet I can't seem to make myself read admin posts.

Thanks for all you do Dr. Bob. You really care about Babble, I can tell.

Luv you! (((((((((((Dr. Bob)))))))))))))

I love you Dr. Bob. You're the best. I think of you everyday. It comforts me. You're comfy and fun. I love you.

You take care of Babble. You're committed. You've been with Babble since the beginning, that's a long time!

Love you! Happy sigh, it feels so comfy. :-)

You wrote,[....You (Mr. Hsiung)..read posts and ..answer them...].
I am unsure as to what you are wanting to mean here. If you could answer the following, then I could have a better understanding of what you wrote and respond accordingly.
A. Are you aware that there are numerous posts by me to Mr. Hsiung that are not answerd?
B. Are you aware that there are posts by me to Mr. Hsiung to remind him concerning that my requests to him do not have a reply from him to me consrning my requests for clarification and such?
C. Do you have an opinion as to what consequences could happen to me either physically as being a victim of antisemitic violence or psychological/emotional aspects as a result of particular posts by me to Mr. Hsiung that have no answer from him to me that amswwers my question to him?
D. Could you go through the archives and see the many posts in question here by me to Mr. Hsiung?
E. If you could do that, could you pay particular attention to those threads with statements that could have the potential to arrouse antisemitic feelings as depicted in the historical record, or lead a Jew to feel put down, that do not have an answer to requests by me to Mr. Hsiung?
F. If you could do that, could you then post here as to what you are wanting to mean in a more detaied way as to what posts he answers or does not answer by that Mr. Hsiung reads posts and answers them?
G. If you could go through the archives and see those posts in question, could you revise your statement in question to be more definitive as to what posts Mr. Hsiung posts a reply to or not?
H. If you could go through the archives and see the posts in question by me, could you post here what it means here, in your opinion, that one match could start a forest fire?
K. If you could go through the archives to see those posts by me, could you post here what, in your opinion,{support} means here?
L. If you could do all of that, what in your opinion does the statement in the TOS, that Mr. Hsiung does what in his thinking will be good for the community as a whole, mean in relation to that there are numerouse requests from me to Mr. Hsiung that have not a reply to me by him?
M. In Mr. Hsiung's TOS, he asks for members to trust him. What in your opinion (redacted by respondent)

Has Dr. Robert Hsiung, M.D. remained mute regarding all of your requests for determinations historically? Perhaps one of the deputy moderators can address your concerns appropriately. I know I would feel ignored if the Dr. Hsiung responded to everyone else's posts except for mine.

Hey Lou,

Sorry I don't have the energy to answer all your questions, but I will try to answer one. I was mainly talking about how Dr. Bob answers a lot of posts, I know he doesn't answer most. I'd say I'd be happy if he answered 1 in 20 posts. I ask Dr. Bob questions all the time and he doesn't answer me. Don't take it personally. I think he does answer you once in a while.

Dr. Bob is probably too busy to answer all posts. Most of my posts are repetitive. I can't expect him to say "you're welcome" every single time I thank him. Once is enough. I just have this urge to keep thanking him and saying I love him. I don't expect a reply, but when I get one it is a nice surprise.

Deneb,
You wrote,[...I know he (Mr. Hsiung) doesn;t answer most (posts)...], [...he doesn't answer me...], [...don't take it personally...],[...he does answer you once in a while...], [...(Mr. Hsiung) is probably too busy to answer all posts...], [... most of my posts are repetitive...I don't expect a reply...].
I am unsure as to what you are wanting to mean here if your reply to me is in regards to the ongoing situation of that there are outstanding notifications from me to the administration, requests for rationales, requests for clarification concerning the rules and policy here and such and requests to have feedback by having dialog with the administration here.
The overiding concern of mine is that I am asking for the administration to respond to my requests because I think that the TOS here gives an expectation to the member that uses the notification system to receive a reply or a post in the thread involved. I also think that Mr. Hsiung invites members to ask him for his rationale(s) and to discuss rules and policy here, and importantly to discuss actions taken by the administration which could include IMO taking no action.
The importance to me is that there is the potential for me, and perhaps other Jews, to be a victim of antisemitic violence either physically or by emotional/ psychological violence by the nature that posts that have statements that could arrouse antisemitic feelings or lead a Jew to feel put down are not notated as being uncivil here and I am asking that the administration post in the thread where those posts are some notation that those statements are not civil according to the historical record where those type of statements that have been allowed by the administration to be unsanctioned to have the potential to inflame a community to persecute Jews.
You have written to me,[...don't take it personally...],
I am wondering as to what you are wanting to mean to me here by that. Could you post here some more to clarify what you are wanting to mean to me by that? If you could, then I could have the clarification needed for me to rule out or confirm what could come out of a statement like that to me here.

Deneb,
If you are considering posting a reply to me here, could you click on the two links here and take into consideration what could be seen in the posts in the threads that the links bring up including any links in the posts? If you could, I think that you could have a better understanding of what the ongoing situation that I as a Jew am experiancing here could encompass.
In the second link to a post in a thread, there was a post by Mr. Hsiung before that post was posted that stipulated to the community something like that links to posts that had antisemitic content were not to be posted here, period. Now the use of the emphatic in his statement has a generally accepted meaning to mean that there are no exceptions. I took Mr. Hsiung at his word.

Hi Lou.

I am glad that you remain vigilant in the pursuit of preventing prejudicial content. It is nice to know that someone is looking out for all of us. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to research the archives to be able to evaluate your complaints. I have a vague recollection of a guy named Rousseau. Is this still the object of your pursuit, or are their others?

I still think that a review of posting policies given by one of the deputy moderators might explain the lack of response by the doctor. If I am not mistaken, the lack of response can be taken as a judgment against the complaint. However, as has been said, sometimes things just slip through.

Be well.

I'm sorry Lou, I clicked on the two links, but I don't understand. I think I remember going through the archives once and this guy write a very anti-Semitic post. I don't remember what happened. Was it just never sanctioned? Maybe Dr. Bob decided to leave it alone because it is way in the past and the poster is most likely not even here anymore. I would hope if it were to occur again that Dr. Bob and the deputies would take appropriate action.

Sorry if you feel like your requests are going unresponded to, that must be frustrating.

I don't really know if your situation is unique. Maybe the deputies and Dr. Bob have responded once to your request and just left it at that?

I am all for keeping Babble safe from anti-Semitic posts. Have there been recent anti-Semitic posts made?

Deneb
