You wrote,[...your (Scott's) patience and restraint...].
I am unsure as to what you are wanting to mean here. If you could answer the following, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
A. In that you respect Scott's patience and restraint, could you post here what you think Scott is restraing from?
B. Could you post here what meaning of the word (patient} you are wanting to mean that Scott has patience that you see?
C. If you could not post such here, could you email me with your reply?
D. If you could not post here
the answers to my requests, could you post here the reason that you could not post such?
You see, the discussion in that thread has discussion between me and Scott, so that I think that your remarks are relevant to my mental health for they have the potential IMO in a manner that could involve me in some way that I would like to know. So if you could answer, then I could rule out or affirm what I think has the potential for some to think about me as a person here and respond to you accordingly.

It can be a useful lesson to see plans collapse into farce, don't you think?

Sigismund, Could you post here what you see in this? If not, could you post here why not? If you could not do either of those, could you email me?
What I am unsure of is:
A. What is the farce?
B. What are the plans that collaped?
C. What is the useful lesson?

our lives without Dr. bob---each and every one of us. It doesn't take deep thought and you don't have to analyze the crap out of it----it's very very simple. He's a Doctor--he's suppose to do research. He's also human with many of the same problems as ALL of us. He's the Rodney Dangerfield of psychiatry in his own house---the one he built. Thanks Bob--you're cool with me.
p.s. I apologize Scott for changing the thread title. Maybe that's one of my faults---like a young man lusting in his heart after strange women--I can't help it.

That's a great point.
I sometimes smirk and shake my head when I see people post things that suggest that Psycho-Babble be shut-down. Of course, they continue to post here after making such statements, ostensibly because they have no better place to be.

Dear Lou,
I'm mostly a 'feelings' person - often it's hard for me to sort of 'get my mind around' analytical things, so I'm not sure how useful my reply will be, but I hope it helps.
For me, patience is just patience. I can't put into words what I mean by it.
In this case, it had to do with Scott writing a post; having questions posed; answering them & posing a question; in response to that post, not having the question answered & having more questions posed......that type of thing. If it was me, the sort of 'little kid' part of me might be fidgetting impatiently & feeling frustrated.
:-)So, if I am impatient, I might tend to say something in a not calm manner. I might need to take some deep breaths to slow myself down. If I was feeling like that, it would take restraint to reply calmly.
I hope that answers your questions. I think it's the best I can do. Sometimes lately, when it comes to my cognitive abilities, the quote from the Winnie the Pooh books often comes to my mind.... 'being a bear of very little brain'.

Hi Lou
>A. What is the farce?
The infinite and wonderful variety of people who generally succeed in not cooperating. The implacability of people can make them appear very funny.>B. What are the plans that collapsed?
Scott's idea was (I think) to start a thread of support for respect for Dr Bob, the future of which, of course, I could not predict.>C. What is the useful lesson?
That it's a wonderful world, but not a peaceful one, the best laid plans of mice and men etc.

Well, part from not having the energy to deal with Twitter, I have been so fabulously indiscreet here that I worry that someone with too much time on their hands will work out my name and address and find a way to hold it all against me.
Just being paranoid.Thanks Kath.

it's funny you know, I don't think anyone could be interested in anything I have to say
or who I am
at least not enough to try and track me down,
could be ignorance on my part thoughI suppose people on the internet do all manner of things
then there's the part of my that wishes someone would think that what I have to say interesting...I wouldn't use this name on twitter though

I meant I wouldn't use this name as a "follower", if "obsidian" showed up there I'd think it had just as much anonymity as here

I don't really think I'd care, except that in my neediness-of-support at various times, I've given a tremendous amount of detail about my son. So that's what I'm thinking of when I'm concerned about identity.

To smile in a silly, conceited, knowing , or annoyingly complacent way. A condescending, dismissive smile.
Since it's not apparently uncivil to broadcast that one smirks at the posts of other members of this community, I feel I'm safe in saying I've been smirking my A&& off in this thread.
Thanks, Scott, for the fun.

It has been respectfully brought to my attention that what I wrote here might be deemed uncivil. I see that it is, and I regret having written it. It was disrespectful, and I apologize.

Thanks Dr. B.
I like to see this 'giving people a chance' type of thing. I don't know if you've had a chance to read my comment on HyperFocus' post in the 20 weeks block thread, but especially after writing it, it was nice to see this from you.
