Maybe this has been addressed and I missed it in the flurry. Is babblemail subject to the same rights to use as posts?

thanks,

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "rights to use"?

That's a great question as Dr Bob can read them hence like e-mails better. Phillipa

Hi Dr. Bob or Deputies,

I meant that whatever claim this site has to use babble posts for research, republish, or whatever, do these same claims hold for babblemail? Hope that's clearer...my head is feels like it's full of straw today.

thanks,

We've always been told that Babblemail is private. But that could change today or tomorrow.

I hope Babblemails are private + not quoteable. (nm)

They still are. Which includes me not being able to read them. And I'm not planning on changing that.

Bob,

Then why do you have the following statement at the bottom of the babblemail form?

"What you say may conceivably be used against you. Please be civil."

Thanks.

Because the civility guidelines apply to Babblemail, too.

Because another poster, if they find your Babblemail(s) to them to be uncivil, can report you to Dr. Bob, cut and paste your words (along with the 'footprint' of the Babblemail, which I would describe as an electronic code allowing him to be sure it was sent by you)in hopes you will be warned to be civil, just like with a public post.

This has happened.

Hope that helps.

Thanks 10der - I trust everyone I've babblemailed (nm) » 10derHeart
