It occurred to me the other day that you might have feelings too. Seriously. But then I told myself to stop being silly. No one with feelings would continue to run an Inernet forum while being the object of so much ridicule.
Even though the volume of ridicule seems high, it might only represent the actions of a vocal minority. It is possible.

Something else occurred to me. I wouldn't know where to place it on the balance scales you use to determine such things, however, if there is a sentiment that it is important to help someone rather than banish them, it doesn't serve the student to attend one class per year.
I believe that there must be some kind of posting behavior that would necessitate such punitive measures. It is often in the best interests of the posting community as a whole to remove an individual from it. The needs of the many might outweigh the needs of the one.
I guess I agree with 52 week posting blocks under extraordinary circumstances. I am greatly relieved to not be in a position to have to judge such a thing. I just wish the formula you use to determine the length of posting blocks would not have such a steep exponential curve to it.
This whole thing is very complex.
