Lou's request to Robert Hsiung-nonfez

Posted by Lou Pilder on February 25, 2008, at 16:21:58

Mr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you delete from your TOS the part that deputies, and yourself, can delete grossly inappropriate posts.
I base this in part on that you have posted that you do not delete all grossly inappropriate posts.(citation G2)
In a community that has the tOS to mean that there is an expectation for grossly inappropriate posts top be removed, and members ask for them to be deleted and you are unwilling to do so for any reason, then I feel that the confidence of the forum's administration could be lost. For if one part of the TOS is not being applied, then other parts IMO have the potential to also not be applied in a fair manner.
Since your TOS states that you do what in your thinking will be good for the community as a whole, and be fair, then I am asking you to post here what rationale you have to allow you to leave grossly inapropriate posts on the board when your TOS says that deputies can delete them and then you repost it.

Mr. Hsiung,
I am asking you to consider the content in the post (citation G3)
For there are members here that I think that your site has given them a declaration of allowing grossly inappropriate posts to be deleted by the nature of your TOS here. Your TOS to me could be an expectation that posts that are grossly inappropriate could be deleted. In post G3, what could in your thinking after reading that post, be good for the community as a whole to not delete any post that is grossly inappropriate?

star008,
You wrote,[...your points are valid...someone will get irritated...the last time...]
If you could clarify the following, I would appreciate it:
A. Will someone here get irritated because my points are valid?
B. If so, why, in your opinion, could a person get irritated by reading valid points and if so, why?
C. What was {the last time} that you are referring to?
Lou

sorry for the delay, i was out of town. I was referring to the time when you were trying to defend phillipa and got blocked even though your points were valid. In my opinion you irritated someone and got blocked.

star008,
You wrote,[...defend Phillipa...even though your points were valid...were blocked because... irritated someone...].
This brings up to me a want for infomation. Could you email it to me if you do not want to post a reply to me here?
A. Who,in your opinion, was or were irritated?
B. Was, in your opinion, the irritation because I defended Phillipa?
C. Was the irritation, in your opinion, because my points were valid?
D. would it, in your opinion, be the same if I was defending someone other than Phillipa?
E. In your opinion, if you think that it will not be good for the community as a whole, what could be any unsound mental-health practice indicated by the actions of the administration in regards to my valid points?
F. other aspects not mentioned
Lou
