There are so many discussions about withdrawal on the meds board, many of which get quickly redirected to the withdrawal board. Then, no one responds, and the threads just die. I've been trying to help out on the withdrawal board answering questions where I can, but there aren't many responders to posts there. Could we maybe get some more people checking in there once in a while answering questions? Some of you are very knowledgeable about these topics!
Thanks,
Phoenix1

i'd visit it daily.
unfortunetly, i'm not addicted to anything but coffee, and there is NO hope in sight to quit this addiction.
i'll peruse (yes, i can use a big word :) the board, but i fear i'm of little help to anyone.
still hyped up on caffiene,

It's not just for drug addiction (there is a separate board for that called substance use). The main focus of discussion is withdrawal from psychiatric drugs, SSRI's, benzo's, mood stabilizers, AP's, etc. Most of us who have been around the medication merry-go-round for long enough have experienced some sort of withdrawal at some point in time. Unfortunately, it's almost inevitable...

gosh, i wish my memory was good enough to give advice on drug withdrawls. however, i don't recall anything from when i was switching meds, other than the walls 'bending' (i swear they were!) and asking my pdoc to prescribe me a vibrator.
seriously, i remember very little from the different meds i had to take, then switch. i looked over there, and i'm still of little help.
i'm sure your post will bring attention to the board, and i thank youfor that. some boards just get very little love, as much as that stinks.
you know?

You are quite right! I think I will start visiting that particular board regularly, especially as I have alot of experience with drug withdrawals. Should give back what I was taught.
In fact I'll check it now!teck

Thanks for bringing this up. And for being the change you wish to see.
Also, if one of you would like to encourage others on Medication to visit Withdrawal more often, that might help, too. And wouldn't be redirected. :-)
