Dr Bob.

Very nice picture of yourself. You're a good looking guy, and smart to boot!

Thank you for all of your work on our behalf. It's been a ton of work for you over the years, and quite a bit of out-of-pocket expense.

This site has been instrumental in my progression toward good mental health. When I am researching a med that I am considering adding, I first read the journal articles for the study results. Then, I come to your site to search the archives and read anecdotal responses to the med in question. I’m not quite 100% well yet, but I’m an order of magnitude better than I was a few years ago.

Thanks again for your hard work. I, for one, have greatly benefited from your efforts. Heck, I didn’t even know how to go about finding and accessing journal articles before I came here. I have learned a lot on this site over the years.

For the past three-and-a-half years, I have been tracking my moods (depression, hypomania, irritability, and OCPD tendencies) using a numerical assessment system for each mood. The depression graph is incredibly eye opening in the way it so clearly shows my 15-day ultra rapid cycling. I didn’t even know I was ultra rapid cycling until I started tracking my daily moods. The depression graph also clearly shows the reduction in severity of my depressive phase over the years as I have found the particular meds that improve my condition.

The Excel spreadsheet with all of my mood numerical data, daily diary entries, and daily dosages of each medication, is eight megs. This is way more than you would have time, or interest to look through. However, what I might do sometime, if it is okay with you, is e-mail you a "picture" in MS Word of my Excel depression graph. You would find it very interesting to look at. The Word file is only about 100k.

Oh yah, I forgot that you are a Mac Man. So, I don't know if your machine will display a Word file.

Yes, I've learned a lot about myself here too, and in many ways. Without babble I might never have discovered the truth. It's easy to misjudge small details if you can't see the whole picture. Thank you Dr. Bob.

I admire your persistence in keeping a mood chart. I start out keeping one but always let it drop. Self discipline is not my strong suit.

I'm glad you're posting again.

Sure, I'd be interested. Especially because you're doing better! :-)
