I wonder at the longevity of this place....

Posted by muffled on September 7, 2007, at 22:39:34

or what is its future....
WILL it continue to be a place where is (mostly) safe to post and expect kindness and understanding from other posters?
Or will it go downhill due to lack of administrating?
Lack of communication on the part of the administrator.
Lack of the administrator to effectively support his deputies.
Will the deputies get burned out and dissappear one by one :-( ?
I think the deputies got WAY more responsibility than they ever bargained for, and what was initially an act(becomming deps), of kindness and caring for this website on their part and perhaps out of respect for Dr. Bob.... it has turned into a sorrowful, difficult burden :-(
DEPUTIES, I appreciate what you do.
I also appreciate you as fellow babblers who just were trying to do a good thing.
I'm sorry it has turned out this way :-(
I just hope you guys will take care of your own selves FIRST, and if you doing OK, then be deps, but if you struggling, just let it go.....
Its NOT YOUR responsibility.
Take good care.
Muffled

It is very good to see Dr. Bob here and administrating again.

It hasn't been that long compared to the life of the board that he's been gone so much. It would be interesting to compare the useage stats. I miss him when he's gone, and I probably post less.

Don't know... feels like a deserted ghost town to me. I have a feeling people are on a new board somewhere. It feel lonely around here, I haven't felt like posting.

Actually I am thinking of leaving for the long term, something I have been thinking about for awhile now. I try to be supportive, but it seems like I am doing something wrong. It saddens me on the responses I have been getting lately, I don't feel accepted here. I wonder if this place needs to die in my heart like my first T. Maybe it is time to clear the cobwebs and sweep up the fallen leaves and move ahead. I had T today and I don't even feel safe posting about it. I guess I need to listen to that gut instinct of mine again.

Hey, Muffy,

I haven't left yet. lol I only notice I seem not to want to post as much. It might lead to leaving, but I don't know. It is just a thought.

I am just thinking others might be feeling the same way, that is the reason it is so quiet.

I would like to have Babble around for some support, I am going through some major sh*t in therapy right now, but I don't know if it is okay to post about. It seems like when I have to put a trigger on everything I write about, very few people even read it. So I am not sure if it is the right place to post such intense stuff. Especially if i need support, but don't get it because nobody wants to read about it. It is kinda like a catch 22.
Then when I do offer support, I am told I am doing it wrong. uggh! So I am just wanting to keep quiet, hold it all in, till it feels safe again here. Which I am not sure if it will be again. Maybe suffering in silence is the best way.

Please don't suffer in silence. Sometimes isolating can be the worst thing. I, for one, always value your posts. I may not reply because I don't think I have anything to add, but I always learn from what you post.
take care of yourself,
antigua
