Hi Joni,
what kind of error message are you getting?

have you registered for chat?

I think tech support is kind of potluck-style around here. We all bring some kind of bean dish and hope that the eclairs show up soon. Hope your next responder is an eclair...

Llurpsie,

thanks for your reply. Darn we just have to make our way?

I did register. But when I went in the room I got a blank screen except for users in the room on the right, and a box to enter dialogue in. So But I could see that people were probably talking because I say activity going across the bottom of the screen (like when an internet page is refreshing)but no new chat conversation came on the screen. Then I tried rebooting and then I got only one page of chat and some //## characters mixed in with the chat dialogue.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Joni

This sounds like a problem only Dr. Bob can fix.

I think you've already tried the things I would have suggested, and the deputies don't have access to or the tech knowledge about the chat feature of Babble.

Dr. Bob will get to your request eventually, but I can't say how long it may take. I know it's frustrating.

try room two

Hi joni,
it may be that you joined room 1, and that you needed to switch to room two. that's usually where chat happens.

the other thing I can think of is that your browser text was set to the wrong size. Do you know how to change the size of your text? On my mac I hold down the apple key and then [shift] the + key. plus for zoom in, minus for zoom out.

occasionally myopic llurpsienoodle will chat with giant font and sometimes the posting window (small on the bottom left of the screen) gets cut off.

*****

sometimes chat is finicky, and you may have to shut down your browser and try to log in again, or hit <back> then <forward> and stuff like that. You've probably already tried it.

hope this helps?

Sorry it didn't work for you. Did you enter any dialogue yourself? If so, did the left side change at all?

When I first go in I see the names on the right and sometimes on the left I see chat dialogue, but it never refreshes. I see where I entered the room, sometimes I see people say hi, but the dialogue never moves up. I see what looks like activity going across the bottom of the screen like a web page refreshing, but I never see the chat dialogue displayed.

Surely some techy knows whats going on somewhere

Sorry about taking so long to get back to this. Did you enter any dialogue yourself? And did the names ever change?
