PBC....PBS.....PDNP PRP ??

Posted by Fallen4MyT on January 31, 2007, at 1:34:07

I am just curious and looked in the FAQ's and didn't see it..though it could be there.....

Is a PBC equal to a please be sensitive ....or a please do not pressure..or a please rephrase etc..etc..I am sure I am missing some :) But are they all equal...as in say one gets 3 PBC maybe they are blocked? Same go with PBS and PDNP AND PRP??

THANKS I hope this makes sense I oughta be in bed

Well.... I know PDNP is please do not post... so I guess you're talking about violations of the not posting?

I know PBC means please be civil and I think you supposed to apologise or you get blocked and please rephrase means just what it says, and you supposed to give it your best shot or you could be blocked.
Please do not post has been changed.......
Ths about alls I know.

Yes

> please dont pressure and please repharase?

Those are like PBC's too, though a please rephrase requires an action to resolve--the satisfactory rephrasing.

PDPs are a different animal. They are a request from one member to another. The only time they could relate to a block is if someone continues to post or babblemail to the person requesting the PDP. That would lead to a PBC or block depending on the circumstances (whether there have been prior PBCs or blocks, etc.)

Hope that helps.

Thanks GG just one more thing and sorry to ask again but I am a little lost here..me not you....

you said <Those are like PBC's too, though a please rephrase requires an action to resolve--the satisfactory rephrasing. >

So does the above mean once it is rephrased it doesn't count against you? Thus one could get many pRP's and if corrected they would not result in a pbc or block? Thanks ahead

That's a good question. I don't know, sorry. (nm) » Fallen4MyT

I am guessing you must have missed this but it would be helpful to know what the rules are so we may be better able to understand when calls are made. Understanding leads to being better able to follow the civil rules as well as not being surprised by a block and so on

I wonder also....HOW do you and the deputies keep track of these

say I got 6 please rephrases ....over 3 years who would know? How would you know? Or 10 per month.....where are these records kept so if deputy one calls a please rephrase does deputy 2 know a week later when the same poster needs to rephrase on another area of PB????

I cannot imagine why you would not clear this up for us.

Could a deputy think someone has had more than 1 pbc or pbs or please rephrase and block someone before they were really due??? This is why I would like this clarfied in part.

If a deputy doesn't know..how can they apply it?

Posted by Fallen4MyT on February 4, 2007, at 20:14:56

I am referring to the please rephrase rule....

Can we get it in the FAQ's something to make this easier for all of us to follow ?

I will add the below link to help explain more but ????

What is the differentiating aspect to not write to the member to please be civil and instead ask the member to please rephrase?

I will post the two posts I have in mind if you want Dr Bob if that will help ..I just want to understand ..One member was asked twice to Please rephrase as you stated her post would/could STILL lead others to feel put down or something.....

JYL thank you for taking an intrest in this thread. I am wondering why I keep being faced with zero answers ? Maybe Dr Bob is out of town...and overlooked my other questions on this cause it is a big site. I hope he sees this soon. Could be they do have an online book of sorts..

I think it's an ongoing -- and understandable -- concern, what those who have power think about those who don't...

What I was thinking was that the deputies and I do have the power to block, and the smiley faces and x's would represent what we thought...

**And thats the ONLY reason this person gives a sh*t bout what they think....cuz they got power....and people w/power sometimes abuse that power....and that scares the f*cking cr*p outta me.
