I know, my soft brain or my soft heart: he really seemed to be in a great deal of distress.
Was blocking him necessary? He was abrasive, aggressively negative, and so on, but it just seemed like a sign of his profound depression. I know I've been in a similar place myself.
In pullmarine's case, he didn't seem to want to change. He seemed to brush aside helpful advice, and cling to his bleakness. It tore at my heart.
The decision is Dr Bob's, and I'll stand by his decision, but wanted to express my sadness that it may have been necessary.

That is a very caring and generous thing to do.

But that is forcing yourself to be harsh...I always admired therapist for their congruency/transparency.Why can't you show your kindness and soft heart, while booting people in the sincere manner that you have been doing. I think you are doing fine.
I do not think you are booting people because you want to be tough, as much as you want to be sincere to your site. I always admired you for your geniuneness in helping as many people in this world as you can.
Think positive and have a jolly holiday, Dr. Bob :-)

I miss pullmarine I think the heart of the board is harder as a result of the blocks I think the callousness and hardness of the blocks seeps out and touches everyone not just the one you single out. You never correct the "education" part of the board because you say the posters will balance each other out but what about the support part wouldn't the same thing happen? wouldn't there be more kindness and peacemaking rather than nonreacting while waiting for admin to deal punishment? and then leaving only an absence and scar where understanding and tolerance could have sprung up
I think the heart of the board would be more lively and beautiful and gentle and soft and sweet with pullmarine and others like verne or zeugma or whoever you have blocked now
