That's how many he did. I generally tend to disagree with the P.C. civility monitoring, PBC-ing and blocking but I absolutely agree with the block this time. I think there may be a new blocking category for being a royal pain in the butt.

Well, I hope you're still happy with me after this, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to block you from posting for a week.

You've been asked before to follow the civility guidelines, and blocked posters are included in the civility protections.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

You might also want to consider enlisting a civility buddy.

Follow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Dr. Bob is always free to override deputy decisions. His email is on the bottom of each page. Please feel free to email him if you believe this decision was made in error.

You've been asked to be civil before so I'm going to block you again. I'll let Dr. bob determine the length.

If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

I'm going to extend that block.

previous block: 1 week
period of time since previous block: 4 weeks
uncivil toward a particular individual or group: yes
particularly uncivil: no
different type of incivility: no
clearly didn't understand PBC and made effort to reply: no
provoked: no
uncivil in multiple posts at same time: no
already archived: no

If we take 4 weeks, divide by 10, and round down, that's a reduction of 0 weeks. If we apply that to his previous block, that's 1 - 0 = 1 weeks. And if we triple that, that's 3 weeks.

previous block: 2 weeks
period of time since previous block: 2 weeks
uncivil toward a particular individual or group: yes
particularly uncivil: no
different type of incivility: no
clearly didn't understand PBC and made effort to reply: no
provoked: no
uncivil in multiple posts at same time: no
already archived: no

If we take 2 weeks, divide by 10, and round down, that's a reduction of 0 weeks. If we apply that to his previous block, that's 2 - 0 = 2 weeks. And if we triple that, that's also 3 weeks.
