First: I am Jewish. And some of what I am about to say may be considered uncivil. So be it. But remember, as a Jew I believe I have a responsibility to respond to Lou's allegations. That said, when I recently saw Lou's posts about anti-semitism, I was curious to find out what he was talking about. So I babble-mailed him and asked him to point out the "offending" posts, which he supplied. I carefully reviewed the posts and I DO NOT see anti-semitism there, or anywhere else on PB. Lou is seriously off base, if not paranoid. He is the kind of Jew who gives the rest of us a bad name.

Yup I have a lot of great Jewish people as friends and neighbors. We ride bikes together sometimes. More when it gets cooler out. Love Phillipa

It is written her that I am the type of Jew that gives Jews a bad name.
I fell accused and put down when I read that. For Scott said that I should not be blamed for trying. And if I am said to be giving Jews a bad name for trying to show that this forum's administration considers what could put down and accuse Jews of killing Christ to be civil, then was Simon Weisenthal also giving Jews a bad name? Simon said that without justice, there is no freedom. Is it just that this forum endorses statements that accuse the Jews of killing Christ? Is it just that this forum endorses statements that say, after the Jews had slain the Messiah they became dark, and loathsome and filthy people full of idleness and all manner of abominations? Is it just for this forum to say that I should be expelled because I am showing the world what many have said is the greatest shame of mankind? And you say that I am giving Jews a bad name?
This forum has in its agenda to allow statements that could put down Jews. And this forum fosters the idea that it is civil to post that the Jews killed Christ and that Judaism is in the catagory of the "worst" religions because thier agenda is not centered in Christ, because it is civil according to Dr. Hsiung.
I have to accept that. I have to accept that a professor at the most prestigious university considers it civil to defame Jews on his forum. I have to accept that the vast number of readers here see that the doctrine that the Jews killed Christ is fostered on this forum as being civil. I have to accept that others are allowed to say here that I am giving Jews a bad name. Which Jews?

Jost, the civil Islamist from Fallujah is someone I imagined who would be a challenge to the civility rules, especially on the Politics Board. How do you have such different world views come into contact without people feeling put down?
