pseudoname is badhaircut
I left Babble in mid-2005 due to increasing depression that I thought my participation in Babble wasn't helping. I hated Babble at that moment, but I never posted that; I just left.
Months later I needed some psych med info. I felt very ashamed that I would be coming back to the site I hated for help. Boy, that seems pretty irrational now.
So in the fall of 2005 I came back as "pseudoname", just as a temporary name to get some advice. Unfortunately ("un-"?), I started making friends as PN and so got kinda stuck with it.
I also had a fear of a certain person offline exposing badhaircut's real-world name. So even as time went on I was reluctant to go public to say that BHC = PN. Although I *did* disclose on Admin, at Bob's prompting, that PN was a new name for an existing Babbler.
But I want people who may have particular feelings about BHC to know that they can transfer them to PN. I wasn't attempting deception or subterfuge. When I B-mailed people, for example, I always let them know that PN was BHC. (Interestingly, one woman who opened a very warm personal B-mail correspondence with PN dropped it without another word as soon as I disclosed I was BHC!)

I don't recall anything that would cause you to fear people wouldn't accept you as anyone.
Certainly I have no qualms.

It's funny how names can change the mental image I have of people.
Happy to know you as pseudo. I think your hair is just fine the way it is.
