For reasons unknown to man kind, whilst visiting babble about 10mins ago I lost my cookies. In doing so I lost my password. I tired to pick up the crumbs, but for the life of me cannot remember my password.
Could it be emailed to me please. My previous posting name is in the subject.
Thanks.

Go to the FAQ and follow the "How can I reset my password?" link..
That should help you do it

Now this is strange! LOL
First the cookies were deleted, somehow, everything was 'blue' Then I changed my name and read some message, so the boards at the top of this page turned 'red' again. Now i've come back - everything is blue again like the cookies were all deleted.
Apart from this time, when I've now posted this message my old name and password is saved?!

I can't get it to work though, I can't remember my email address.. Well at least the one it should be sending it to, isn't working. I can't up-date anything lol
Dr Bob, I've sent you mail to try and figure this out.

A new email address won't really solve the problem - because I don't remember my password for babble, I won't be able to update the registration to send a new password to the new email address. To make it even more confusing, when I tried to send the password reminder to my email, it didn't work. My emails works fine. I've emailed Mr Bob, hopefully he'll be able to help in case I have another cookie crisis.

what you can do is make a minor change in ur name like SStyle1 or something and then do password reset. that is why i was wildcard but now wildcard11....

Color isn't a cookie issue, it just depends on whether you've visited that link before. The yellow "new" indicators depend on cookies, but unless you "logged out" the previous time you were here, I don't think there's any way to recover them if they get deleted somehow. But you can post as yourself again, that's the main thing, right?

It was strange, as everything i'd visited before, like different boards, Alternative, politics etc was blue instead of red..
>The yellow "new" indicators depend on cookies
Every single message on the board was "new" It was as if it was my first time visiting the website..
>but unless you "logged out" the previous time you were here..
Nope..

Indeed :-) I have no idea what happened though, I came, had to register again, and then computer was turned off, when it was turned back on again, my name was stored once again.
The only problem I have is that if I want to post froma different location, or if I move my present one - I have no idea what my password is to use my current name? Until that happens, I guess I'll let you know?
