My PBC and block history *trigger*

Posted by Deneb on March 21, 2006, at 23:38:11

I think it's important for me to remember all the PBCs and blocks I've gotten. I should learn from them. I found them all.

Warning, the following links show Dr. Bob pointing out my uncivil comments and therefore contains uncivil quotes.

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20050305/msgs/468547.html

I asked for encouragement for suicide tips and methods and got my first PBC.

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20050413/msgs/484025.html

I asked if a particular drug could be lethal in overdose and got a one week block.

I suggested that others suggested I harm myself and got my second PBC.

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20050828/msgs/547929.html

I made fun of a suicidal act and got a two week block.

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20051015/msgs/567834.html

I asked for people to kill me, jumped to conclusions about people not believing my suffering and made someone feel bad and got a 4 week block.

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20060111/msgs/601660.html

Finally I made light of death and got another 4 week block.

Do you see a theme here? I really have to watch the death talk. Better yet, I should really get over the whole death thing.

Right now I think I've replaced my death obsession with a loving Bob obsession. Much healthier, don't you think?

Heh heh.

Yeah. Let me think... Blocked for posting to someone who requested me not post to them... Blocked for posting to someone who requested me not post to them... Then two on politics... I wonder where my next two will be??? (Joking kinda... I don't wanna be blocked anymore)

:-(

Well... You probably won't get blocked for it ;-)

Just be careful not to idealise...
Otherwise...
Disappointment and rage tends to follow...

(Don't mean to be a party killer but I think that does tend to happen if you don't kind of keep a careful check...)

(((((special k)))))

Do you review each post before you submit it? It might help. That's what I'm doing right now, I do a double/triple check and I add an asterisk to my name to signify that my post has been checked by me.

I think we can do it, never be blocked again. We have to always remember what got us blocked or gave us PBCs and check our posts each time before we submit them.

I think maybe one way to help you post on politics is to double and triple check your posts whenever you post anything slightly negative.

I'm glad I think about positive things like love now instead of death. I just hope Bob doesn't mind. ;-)

I know rationally that Dr. Bob is not ideal. Whether or not I know this in my heart is another matter. LOL

I get what you mean about the disappointments and rage, but I'm not sure if I ever experienced them. Maybe my threats were an expression of disappointment and rage? Perhaps...

Thanks for the reminder. I know I have to keep that in check too.

That's a good idea :-)

That is a good way of looking at it too.

Thanks. I think you are right.
Maybe I'll try with the * on politics...
:-)

Yeah. I'm glad you are feeling happier in general :-)

Heh heh. Yeah.

Maybe... There are probably a lot of other things that go on as well... I don't know. I think... Infants exhibit rage when they are restrained. I know blocking people is supposed to be different from restraining people (locking them in a room say) but it feels similar. And if you feel restrained... Then I guess rage is a natural response. Even though 'rationally' you know it is different (just like how if you manage to lock yourself in somewhere accidentally you know it is different) it can still feel the same I guess...
