I would love to post as, well, me - Sabrina.
When I originally posted as 'saw' it was because Sabrina was 'in use'. When I re-registered as 'sal0805' - same thing.
I have noted a Sabina posting but never a Sabrina.
What happens to 'once off' posters?
Sabrina
PS - To the other Sabrina - if you are not a 'once off' poster - I humbly beg forgiveness. I admit that I have not researched the archives.

Um, nothing? What do you think *should* happen to them?

I don't have a constructive suggestion. Probably because I believe that everyone, even 'once-twice off posters' all deserve a chance. (For want of a better word).
Just 'moping' because I would like to use Sabrina as my posting name and the Sabrina who has it never posts.
Thank you for your reply Dr Bob - much appreciated.

if you do a search using
poster: sabrina
you'll find that there was a poster called Sabrina. The most recent post I can find by her is in 2004.

If you want to use "Sabrina", perhaps you could try adding your second initial or the initial of your last name to Sabrina to see if that would work. That's what I had to do - name and initial - and it worked. Just a thought before I ride off into the sunset.

Oh dear - I did not search - and I did not realise posting from the other Sabrina was so recent.
I do apologize.
Tamara - I am considering your suggestion.

Hi Sabrina
You could post as Sabrina_2 or something like that :-)

No, I wouldn't want to post as Sabrina_2 as even though it is NOBODY'S fault - it kind of makes me feel, umm, second best. I apologize in advance for the selfishness of this comment. Oh, and Ed - I so appreciate your kind suggestion - I have no intention of sounding ungrateful.
However, I would not mind posting as Sabrina0805 or something like that - it just seems so long! I should probably just leave things as they are.
I am Sabrina and my posting name is sal0805 - and why should it make any difference at all??
Luv Sabrina
I am also wondering why this is such an issue for me. It seems so .......... so 'petty'. Sigh

I don't think it's petty. A posting name can be a part of an identity on a verbal meeting place. And Sabrina does have a distinct feel to it, different than sal0805, even if most people who've been here a while know you're Sabrina.
I think I'd go with Sabrina M or something. Or, if you're really creative, the addendum can add to the tone of your posting name. Like NikkiT2 or Gabbix2. I always laugh because I took my posting name from my dog. I was thinking of what to call myself, looked down, and there she was. But next to her was a dog with a very exotic name. I always wondered if my persona would be a lot different had I seen Portia first. Or Fifi Fluffybunny or something. :)

Oh - Dinah - you really put a smile to my face! Thank you for your empathy - and for understanding.
My 'child' is constanly chewing my toes, or licking my feet, pulling something out of my dustbin, or fast asleep in my arms, head bopping up and down while I type. She is but 6 months old and her name is Amy Lee.
SabrinaAM, Sabrina_am? These don't seem to "look good".
Any suggestions?
Sabrina

Hi Portia,
(nope, doesn't seem *you* at all!)
My 2 is exotic?! *giggles*
I came here as Nikki, then NikkiT (I was very proud to be Mrs T you see when first married).. then when registration was first happening, something messed up with NikkiT, so I used NikkiT2, and for some reason have never changed back! I've often pondered whether I should, as I know Dr Bob released it for me so I could.. but.. Its just me now *lol*
