Colorful, yes, but cheery? OK I had to squint up really close to the screen, and I do see some tiny little hints of upward curls at the edges of his mouth. Adjusting for the typical expression in the pics he posts here... yes, by golly, cheery it is!

lol. I think that's true also. Maybe Dinah has the ability to see cheeriness in places where some of the rest of us just can't quite see it. If so, that sounds like a good and useful ability to have!
FWIW, I really do approve of the red shirt, though. I love the color red on most anyone.

Gosh, I looked and looked, and I just can't see him *not* looking cheery. I guess I automatically do a lot of adjusting for past photos.
Why, not only do the corners of his mouth lift, but there are definitely smile grooves in his cheek. And I think I see a twinkle in the eye.

I think he took that picture as he was writing " PBC Spriggy."
I'd love to see him with a big, old, teethy smile! That would make my day.

I've got one of him in Chicago that I could share, but he's not smiling in that one either.
But you don't really need to smile to smile do you?

i dont know why but i pic. him as a laid back, not so serious type of person. maybe he's shy? i still think a diff. background color can really accent his dark features! hey Dinah-is he single? if so, maybe we cld hook him up?? j/k :)

I think he has a pleasant look on his face - maybe not an outright gleamer of a smile, but a hint o'happiness about the features nonetheless. :)
But I liked the sunglasses picture too.
