Lou's departure

Posted by Lou Pilder on June 18, 2005, at 21:24:14

Friends,
It could be that I will be expelled from this mental health community. You see, I requested a determination from Dr. Hsiung and it was my understanding that I could request 3 to a particular person's posts. Well, it now has been written to me that it is only 2. So I thought something that was not what it is and now Dr. Hsiung has the option of expelling me from this mental-health community.
It is not my intention to go over any limit here, for I thought there was the rule of threes, but someone emailed me and is saying that it is a rule of twos.
I apologise for my error in understanding.
Lou

Friends,
If I am expelled from this mental-health community, I am requesting that you not referr to me in your posts , since any expulsion to me could be for a year, which would still my voice here.
Best wishes,
Lou

Friends,
To show that I am not the only one here that thought that you could have 3 posts and then that would be all, the following poster thought the same. There are also other posts that indicate that one could think that you could have 3, but no more than 3. Now I have been emailed saying that I went over 2, which is 3, and I thought it was 3 and then email.
The following posts writes,"If there are 3 false alarms then the requests must be made by email."

Two or three requests? » Lou Pilder

Hi Lou,
I admit that I am also unclear about what happens after the third complaint. That is one of the reasons I posted about it to Dr. Bob. I've seen posts that interpret it both ways, and I would like to know for sure how the rule works.

gg,
The first rule that was made was the 3 consecutive post rule. Then Dr. Hsiung wrote ,[...how about another 3....rule?]
This is the 3 rule for requests. Could not a reasonable person think that the 3 rule is a 3 rule?
Best wishes,
Lou

gg,
Could you post the URL of the original draft of the rule? Is it in the FAQ?

GG and the forum
The following link ,Dr. Hsiung writes 3, not 2.
This is what my understanding was and that is why I thought that it wa Ok to post the third request.

I do think I've been inconsistent regarding this. Sorry. I think it would be more consistent to allow 3 and to consider the 4th uncivil.
