Dr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you write a determination as to if in your opinion you would apply the 3-consecutive post rule to the folllowing that has the first post:

The above is the correction to the link's URL for the 3-consecutive post request to Dr. Hsiung for his opinion.

Lou,
Nick replied to four different posts of yours, and thus, from my understanding, the 3 post rule would not apply here.gg

gg,
You wrote,[...4 different posts of yours...]
But it was not to 4 different people. But if Dr. Hsiung writes that he would not apply his rule here, then I could also reply with unlimited consecutive posts by having each post related to a different topic of the same person and I would be pleased with that.

Confusion is one of the first signs of becoming sucked into the admin board vortex of madness. Free yourself while you still can!!

In an effort to deal with, um, I guess to use your word, repetition, there are two rules that are fairly new.
1) You can't make more than 3 consecutive posts within a thread, or three new threads consecutively.
Though, you can answer mor than 3 people within a thread. The grey area is whether, if the same person has posted more than 3 times to you, and you reply to each one of their posts consecutively, have you then broken the three consecutive rule post?
I would think not in my understanding of the rule, as each one is simply a reply to another post.2) You can't post asking for a ruling about the same person more than three times. A number of us were feeling harrassed by having posts constantly up for consideration, and it was causing us considerable pain. And so, a member may only make a request for determination about another member 3 times.
Hope that makes some sense!

This the post that I use to interpret the 3 post rule.
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20040927/msgs/396704.html
In particular, this statement from Dr. Bob seems to suggest that replying to different posts consecutively is okay.==Please share these boards with others by not posting more than 3 consecutive follow-ups in the same thread or starting more than 3 consecutive new threads on the same board. Unless you're responding to earlier posts one at a time. ==

LOL :-)
Sure is Jake! To think I had only originally came here because I had a technical issue with my babble-mail...now the vortex has sucked me into another universe lol
>Free yourself while you still can!!
One of the most wise statements made on the administration board I've read so far ;-)
Kind regards

Hello Nikki!
Thank you so much for letting me know the guildlines of these 2 new rules :-) I just had a look in some of the other previous posts too and managed to find out the actual reason why these rules were originally made by Dr Bob.
I've seen that I did actually post 4 times...but this is something I would never normally do. I certainly wouldn't have done it if i'd known about these new rules either..i'm completely new to the ways of administration and the new poster(s) i've met here.
In fact since i've posted on administration, quite afew things have happened which don't normally happen to me, like getting a please be civil warning etc..but I guess you live and learn lol
I'm sure Lou will read this and hopefully he will be good hearted enough to forward this to Dr Bob to avoid any confusion over whether or not I could have abused these new rules when I didn't even know they existed! (I can certainly garantee I won't be making 3 consecutive posts within a thread in the future) :-)
Many thanks Nikki :-)
Kind regards
Nick

This is the end of the thread.
