What goes on on this board just seems like human nature to me. Whenever you get such a large group together, there will always be misunderstandings, personality clashes, cries for attention, etc. It's part of life.
Some other sites have no Administration Boards. I guarantee that if they did, the same thing would happen on them as well.
There's no such thing as a group who loves eachother and gets along 100% of the time. There will always be conflict. I think the Admin board is a great place for this. As a result, I don't think it spills over onto the other boards as much.

I had to look it up:
"struth - (sometimes spelt strewth) – expression of shock or dismay (replaced by stronger expletives such as "f*ck!" or "sh*t!"). Possibly of Shakespearean origin, "God's Truth". Also heard occasionally in the English Cockney dialect. Other older expletives of English origin such as "cripes," "my oath" and "blimey" are also dying out." From wikipedia.
Atticat - it's not so bad as all that...blood and circuses...eewww. Maybe just a stormy forum? Sailing is quite smooth on social still.
