How hard would it be to have a system to sort posts by poster. Not the google search, which is very hit or miss, but one that does it by board maybe in the same chronological order it was put in, and in more or less the same format.
That was one feature I liked at PsychCentral. The ability to look for all posts by a particular poster.
Wouldn't it be a relatively simple sort feature? You wouldn't have to search the body of the text or anything.

I also think it would be cool to only search for something on a particular board. I've looked before, but I can't see a way to do it. (Say for instance I wanted to search for the word "cymbalta" only on the medication board.)

Please don't.
Or if you do then please don't do it for my posting name. There are people IRL who know my posting name on Babble. I don't worry too much about it because they also know that I post a heck of a lot and wouldn't be bothered reading them. But I wouldn't like things to be any easier for them then it would be already. There are also other people who know I post here but don't know my posting name. Something like that would make it much easier for them to test a hypothesis as to who I really am...

You can search particular boards already:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/search.html#options
But google can take a little while to update the newer entries...

Thank you. I'd never used the "inurl" option. This seems to work well to search specific boards like Books, or Politics, or whatever, but what if you want to search just dr-bob.org/babble (and not the other boards/subdirectories)?
Thanks again.

Hmmm... I hadn't thought of that. :(
If either of the people (or my son in the future) decide to violate my privacy and read here, I'm toast.
But I really did like that aspect of PsychCentral. I could check on someone I was worried about without going through all the boards.

All posts on all boards? Maybe not super hard, but it could be a slippery slope...

> Minnie-HahaGood question. It would be nice if there were a better way, and maybe someone will come up with one, but you can search for:
cymbalta "babble framed"
