Posts by blocked posters are removed routinely, since posters are not supposed to communicate on board while blocked. Often, answering posts or posts on the same thread are removed along with them.

Would that be the circumstances in this situation?

Yes I believe that's the case. Just looked myself to see if they were gone. Thanks Phillipa

hi dinah...my circumstances are simply that i am curious, and missed reading the posts but have some email with subject lines that caught my eye...i popped in to PB very briefly last night before going off-line until about an hour ago when i completed a kernel rebuild...no email was checked until just recently, and i am wondering about the content of the posts with ``hey chemist'' and ``criminal offense,'' in that this would not be the first time yours-truly was threatened on PB...but most importantly, i have a feeling concerning the identity of the person...let me know if we ought to move this off the board....best, tjm

You can email me or babblemail me if you like - or Dr. Bob. I'm always happt to hear from you, although I'm way behind on answering. :) (blasted work) But I'm afraid I don't even have a clue, so I don't think I could shed much light. I don't recall anything threatening to you.

No I don't either. Just a lot of stuff about Ron Howard, and a lot of things that I have no idea what was meant. Fondly Phillipa

Don't worry, Phillipa, I'm fairly sure the writer didn't know what was meant by much of his/her statements either.

Very sad stuff. IMO. Glad that's over...for this time anyway.

Just a general reminder, please don't post anything that could lead others -- even if they've been blocked -- to feel accused or put down.

If you have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil

Follow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.

Thanks,

Bob

Sorry, Dr. Bob, and thanks - I needed that.

(Not sarcasm, BTW, I sincerely meant that.)

First time for everyone, right? ;-)
