Posted by Lou Pilder on March 26, 2005, at 14:08:59

To the administration,
I am requesting that a determination as to the acceptability or not in relation to the guidlines of the forum be written here as to the following.

I suppose I thought the "faith" section of this board was so we could discuss matters of faith and share our thoughts on it.

Maybe I have misunderstood what it's there for. If I was wrong or out of line, I apologize.

I think she was talking about herself and other Christians, so it should be acceptable.

Dr. Hsiung,
You wrote,[...I think that she was talking about herself and other christians...so...acceptable...].
Let us look at one of her statements.
[...{Jesus {is} the Son of God}...He ...did raise from the dead...pay the price for {us}...{we} ...have eternal life (if) {we}...believe that...].
Now in the past practice here, has it not been written that the foundation of a faith can not be posted even if one believes it? Or quotes it? Is it not the foundation itself? Could some here post supremist doctrins and claim that they are only for supremists? Is this not a forum open to all? And is not what is posted the foundation of Christianity? And does not the statement have {if} in it? Could that have the potential for others to think that {if} you do not belive it you will not have eternal life? Is not this a conditional statement to all? For are there not people in christianity that may not belive it.
Are you saying that the foundation posted does not put down Jews and others that do not consider Jesus to be the Son of God? Are you saying that the foundation posted here does not put down Jews and others that do not think that Jesus was raised from the dead? Are you saying that the foundation posted here does not put down Jews and others that do not believe that you have to believe what is posted here to have eternal life?
You wrote that you have a fear that if I post the foundation of my faith, which is the same as the foundation of Jewdaism and some other faiths, that others could think that my faith is in some way for them also. Are you saying that this post here in question can not also induce the same fear in you? Or are you saying that you would allow others to think that the statements in question here are OK for them, but the foundation of my faith is not, and that is your fear? Or something else?
Lou
