I'm going to be out of town next week and don't know how much I'll be able to be online. Dinah and Mark H. are the active deputies right now. Please be extra nice to them and each other while I'm gone? Thanks!

I can't speak for Mark, only myself. But I vastly prefer the term deputy to moderator. Babble doesn't have moderators, other than Dr. Bob - just deputies. And I like the terminology because it keeps the lines of authority clear.

I sort of like the imagery of putting on my deputy hat and taking it off to delineate my roles. :)
But I don't mind assistant whatever either. I just don't want the title without the power. :)
