This picture is easier on the eyes. I could do without words but there's nothing obtrusive about it.
I like what you're getting at: instead of a waterfall, the word "waterfall" with an elf in the foreground. A great reminder that reality is in our heads.
But I still prefer the photo of Dr. Bob doing a Timothy Leary impression. I never tired of that.
I asked myself (several answered but that's beside the point) why do I care what sort of photo is at the top of the page? I guess it's because to get to the next place I scroll to the top and punch the favorites or back buttons.
In doing this, I had a face leap out at me. Call it past drug use or borderline PD. I learned to avert my eyes the way I changed channels when an unpleasant program came on TV.
I still think the image of Dr. Bob with the distortion is beautiful. You know, the picture where Dr Bob looks like Starman on acid. It never hurt me and I didn't hurry away. (neither/nor handicapped)

Good question. I don't think he didn't really choose it by accident or randomly. Another question then for each of us to ponder is, of all the pictures that are not some recognizable facsimile of Bob, why did he choose this one? What is he trying to tell us about himself and/or us?

Actually It was a question within a question I was asking our bewitching sylph Slinky if she'd created the picture to have Dr. Bob use. I never analyze the possible message behind his other pictures.

I need to read things more carefully. I take it that Slinky is an artist and that Bob may have decided to post this immage because it came from a poster.

It has grown on me immensely.
I find it to be complex...
