Re: Poster HermanMunster, Bob take action!

Bob:
Would you please go to the meds board and review all the posts from HermanMunster.
They all contain flippant sexual recommendations or make fun of/put ppl down.
I found him "insensitive". He may be trying to add humour to lighten everyone up, but I found him offensive.
Thanks
Jas

I am bewildered at the amount of PBC's received by Mr HM, but no block? Why is it, that others, who are truly supportive but uncivil by complete accident are blocked after one PBC?

I will NOT post on med board until he is blocked, or gone. The last advice I need, is the kind being offered.

Pity, I have a really strange side effect to Lamictal that I could use some advice on.

I am shocked.
Please do block him FOREVER if you can.
If I was depressed and got that advice...

Dr Bob, I'm disappointed that you used 'please be supportive' in response to the sexual posts by that poster. It makes it sound like a lesser offense than if you'd said 'please be civil'. A sexual suggestion that's totally off topic *is* uncivil. It's just plain gross and yucky, like any kind of sexual harassment.

Dr. Bob:

In light of Susan's block for calling herself an imbicile (using another word) I am surprised by a "please be supportive"

I am by no means a prude, but doesn't some of this come more under the heading of crude and tasteless than non-supportive? I just don't think 'please be supportive' quite makes the point.

I rather agree I just read a few of these posts and with say a friend they may be silly fun but not on a psych board with strangers who need support I rarely post here but this is wrong big time wrong.

The point with the word Susan used was that the word, in the online dictionary, was labeled as "often vulgar."

If vulgar is a no-no, then fairness shouts for these to be considered the same.

I think maybe you missed by point I agree and am on your side on this one.

I wasn't meaning to imply that you disagreed. I think I wrote that because you mentioned people needing support. Dr. Bob's remarks were about being supportive, so the word "support" caught my attention.

I was just commenting on vulgarity - which is what supposedly got Susan blocked.

Either way - the end result is the same feelings, right?? My first impression on reading was Huh?? followed quickly by ICK!

Understood and agree AuntieMel :-) (nm) » AuntieMel
