Dr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you make a determination as to the following being acceptable or not in relation to the guidlines of the forum.

AWFUL!!
What on earth is offensive about that post?
Stick a fork in me, I am really done. This is getting absolutely silly and NOT in keeping with what this board is SUPPOSE to be.
I have many reasons to leave and they are really piling up.

Glydin,
You wrote,[...what...is offensive about that post?...].
Let us start with the subject line, [...middle class white girl whine...].
Now let us put this in perpective in a mental-health discussion board setting.
Now let us consider that the population of the members of the forum is diverse.
Now let us consider that I consider that it is in my opinion that there is the potential for some people to think that there is [...sterotyping ], {by race} in the subject line. The post goes on to write about what I feel has the potential , IMO, to arrouse racial sterotyping. It is the potential that I feel is there and I was requesting that Dr. Hsiung write a determination as to if he thought that the subject line had that potential , or not, and if the post, on that basis could be acceptable or not. He may write that he will allow those type of subject lines, or he may write that he agrees with me on this concern of mine. Either way, I am only asking for a determinationj to be made by Dr, Hsiung.

Glydin,

The second part of my request for a determination to be made as to if the post is acceptable or not in relation to the guidlines of thr forum is that it is my opinion that there is the potential for some people to consider some language in the post as offensive, such as, [...Stupid cow...]and [incredibly {expletive}]
Now I realise that the word [stupid] and the word, [cow], in and of themselves, are not offensive words. But when they are written in a mental-health discussion board setting, I feel that there is the potential, IMO, for some people to think that offense could be there, perhaps because they were once called "stupid" in there childhood or some other time or for some other reason and I think that the phrase, [incredibly {expletive}] has the potential to ,IMO, in some people,to be offensive although some would not. I am only asking that Dr. Hsiung make the dtermination on that.

Please don't post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down.
If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:

Follow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.
Thanks,
Bob

I didn't consider it uncivil, so I let it stand.
