In fact, I was impressed with your expression of vulnerability. Well done!

You just forgot to use "I statements". And adding "I feel" to the front of the sentence that got you PBC'd wouldn't have helped. But if you had concentrated completely on your own feelings without referring to the words or actions of the other poster, you'd have been well in the clear.

Don't let this deter you in your efforts. Just remember to say "I feel sad/upset/distressed at what happened." rather than describing any attributes to what happened and you'll do just fine.

If you like, you can email me with some "I statement" examples and I'll coach you on how they fit into Babble civility guidelines.

Of course..................... you are wonderful (nm) » Dinah

You were right the first time.

Dinah was studied intensively by a think tank comprised of an ecclectic group of scientists, philosophers, and Nobel laureates from every field. It was determined to be an immutable law of the universe that she is indeed wonderful. (See Scientific American, 2004 August; 23-97).
