It's a function of the size of the main page, which is mostly a function of the number of posts. The message parts aren't stored there. Also, the server checks only once each day (at 4 am) rather than continuously.

Social is over its limit now, so it should be archived at 4 am tomorrow. Congratulations! :-)

I knew we could.

And thanks for the explanation, Dr. Bob. I don't suppose you know approximately how many posts it takes, just in case the situation arises again.

Woo hoo! Almost worth staying up to see it turn over...oh wait, that's the insomnia talking.

Great job, Dinah, shadows, and everyone who posted.

Thanks Dr. Bob, for 'splaining.

I'm not too far from being up to see the archive. Darned job. Or darn me for underestimating the time involved - again. If I'm still up in half an hour, I'll come and refresh and see the magic moment.

And then maybe post a big disclaimer on Social for those who don't read Admin. I'll bet plenty of people are quietly thinking "manic?".

The Social Board looks pretty again!! (nm)

I checked that. It's over 600, sometimes substantially more.

Geez, Louise.

I hope no one decides to have a bit of fun re-raising the subject heading. Even I'd have trouble posting *that* much.

LOL, If I remember correctly, a couple people asked me that when I did this at another site. Not manic, just smart, determined, and kind.

I saw some of those vulgar posts on their for days, but my lengthy post about decor got swipped off in a matter in a lot less time. Isn't that odd? I thing something is weird. I realize that my post was long. Oh, what's the point in any explaining. sigh Maybe someone didn't like my name showing up so many times or I give up. Oh, well, so much for this..... ugh

Maybe, I was looking forward to seeing some positive posts back. Maybe, I am losing time again.
