I redirected this post to admin because it seemed more appropriate to admin. With any luck, it'll just die here and not make a stink. I know mine is an unpopular stance, and if I get a PBC I will understand. Shar

Then he/she might have looked for a board with the goal of supporting Ecstasy and/or other illegal drug use. I bet there are tons out there.

This poster did not seem to want help, a helping hand, or any of the other things you mentioned. He or she just wanted something akin to a hangover cure for Ecstasy induced insomnia.

Unfortunately, I did have to give you a PBC. See the meds board.
I have to go on my own understanding of Dr. Bob's guidelines. Perhaps a more global discussion on the matter could wait until he comes back? Further discussion right now won't do any good, and I would hate to have to hand out further "Please be civils" on the matter, or even worse, blocks.
By the way, thanks for moving the discussion to Admin.
Only a few more days now till Dr. Bob comes back.

Hi Shar,
I'm glad you clarified your meaning about posts vs. posters. :)
As far as the question of posters feeling comfortable posting, it's my judgement (and Dr. Bob may well have a different one) that the initial question was about pharmacology which was not out of place on the medication board.
When Dr. Bob comes back, he may make additional clarification regarding his policies, but until then I have to use my best judgement.
