It's all clear as mud now.....Dr. B?

Posted by shar on July 16, 2002, at 17:58:08

Dr. Bob,
Apparently there is still confusion about the best way for Lou to assist people. I'm wondering if you would be willing to read and respond to his post below?

My concern is that a poster who asked for help getting comfortable with sales calls was given 'false hope' of help based on 4 suggestive posts, and then it was pulled away because there was too much confusion to go on.

Due to an alleged concern about appropriateness, Lou could continue only if someone "can tell [him] why it WOULD be proper on [PSB] to do so." This is a judgment call that, if it needs to be made, should not be made by me, I'm sure.

Any comment, or shall we just muddle through?

Shar

> Shar,
> Thank you for your response to my posts to Babybella. I would like to establish a thread here on this topic, but there were many reasons why I made a decision, right away, to not continue the thread.

One reason is that I have reason to believe that the thread could be inappropriate because it is about a topic that is not essential to the goals of the board. I asked myself if it would be proper on this board to give a course on writing poetry, and I thought that that would be something that would not fall into the purpose of the board. And there were other reasons , also. But I will post the rest if you can tell me why it WOULD be proper on this board to do so. Do you mean that anyone can use this board to , let's say, tell others how to overhaul an automatic transmission?

Shar, Email me @ yoyoyoyo78703 at yahoo dot com.
I'd call but I'm too exhausted to talk. I'm biting my fingers trying not to type what needs to be said. I'm up to 2 PBC's and don't want to get blocked.

Yep, it's going okay, alright - like a mud slide down a mountain.

IsoM,
You posted, "Yep,it's going OK alright- like a mudslide down a mountian."
Now I invision a "mud slide going down a mountian" being of great devistation. There have been whole towns covered in deep mud with the destruction of the homes and the deaths of those that could not escape the unstoppable mudslide.
Could you clarify your use of "like a mud slide going down a mountan" as to how it compares with the situation on this board? If you clarify it, then I could have a better understanding of the use of your analogy and would be better able to respond to your post.
Thanks,
Lou

I see no need to clarify what I meant - it's self-explanatory & obvious. My post was not directed towards you & I have no desire of you responding to my posts. End of discussion.

Could you please either be supportive or just keep your reaction to yourself? Thanks,

Bob
