Hey, Dr. Bob:
I'm getting weird new indicators from posts that aren't new. When the page reloads, I get more new indicators than before sometimes. Very weird. I posted on PB two hours ago, and when I went there, lots of old new indicators were on, and my post was missing.

Its not a big deal, but if it goes wrong again could you consider using a word other than 'spastic'? I know that particular term isnt used as a label for people with cerebral palsy these days (partly as it turned into a term of abuse), so its more abstract. But still, if there is another term, it might be worth considering ?(unless its *******, of course!!)

that's not going to make it to my list of words to eschew. But it is also not on a list of words I use regularly. I picked it because I, as an English teacher, thought it fit. It's certainly no more derogatory than a it is when used with "spastic colon," a medical condition.
If we were to take out all the words that have been used, at least once, to denigrate others or to describe unpleasant conditions but also mean something quite innocuous, we'd only be able to utter a few ers, uhs, and thes.
I'm sorry if the word offended you personally. I doubt I'll have occasion to use it again.

I should have thought more about other interpretations of the word, particularly as they would have fitted your thoughtful nature much better.
So many apologies for barking up completely the wrong tree- will *think* before I post in future!
