Is this the complaint department? Open chat.

Please note my rant on the Social Board about Psycho-Babble Open Chat, which may hold some interest for the Admin Board:

Any additions, addenda, suggestions, thoughts, concurrence?

i've finally been able to gain admittance (because i have a yahoo e-mail addy by default; ithought hotmail sounded kinda sleazy, but yahoo happy and hip) but it's been a hell of a time getting there. i wrote some other post about how it would be really great if non-cognitive/depressives could log on easily without going through alot of technical bullshit. everytime i've logged on (all of twice) the room has been empty--i suppose i'm too much of a night-owl.

i think the process is too complicated for the depressed masses who frequent this board. on the other hand, dr. bob pays for and maintains this site, so i'm really appreciative of whatever he can give us. i do *wish* it could be easier, but i'm still sayin 50 hail buddhas to dr. bob for the site, no matter how trying it is to log on to the chat function.

it will have to be up dr.bob whether or not to make the Open easier. if i knew anything about computers, i'd make a suggestion, but i don't...and that is my own fault.

Sorry, it's not up to me, it's up to Yahoo, Open is on their site, not this one...

such a diplomat...bob, you're so diplomatic it's sillily admirable!

thanks for creating the Open in the first place...but we've also been discussing finding an alternative (easier) place to chat.

i wasn't really complaining per se, just stating my case...

oh bob yr so funny,

Bob,

Sorry, the title of this thread was a joke... Although I did think that a post discussing the problems of P-Babble Open would be alright here (??). Sorry again, if not.

I'm not sure people were aware that you have no control over what happens on Yahoo. It might be confusing though, since your picture is on the first page of Psy-Babble Open. And you are named as its moderator, or that you 'own' it, or something like that. So I can see why people might be confused.

I was hoping someone would read the post and suggest something to help.

Sincerely,

Wendy

Attn:complaint department - Can't start new thread

Whenever I try to start a new thread, I get an error message that says my name is missing but when I look at what I tried to post, it's right there, in the name box. What to do?

Sure, in fact, this is where I'd like discussions like that to take place...

forgive me, what one person thinks of as obvious, another doesn't...
i am one of Psy-babble's biggest fans, no complaints about *this* site, just yahoo, or Ya-hell, as Greg says. :-]
