Also, what kind of side effects could I expect?

My first thought is to investigate the preparations of lithium that are sold in vitamin stores. My impression is that it takes a minute amount of lithium to reduce the risk of contracting Alzheimer's Disease.

First, review on PubMed what dosages of lithium are talked about as it applies to the prophylaxis of Alzhimer's Disease.

Then, investigate the amount of free lithium that makes its way into the blood stream when taking a lithium supplement. The amount contained in one pill per day is probably way more than what would be necessary for prophylaxis of Alzheimer's Disease.

Please let me know what you come up with. I'm sure your research will be more comprehensive than mine.

Thanks.
