I have a school reunion this Saturday and I don't think i'll be up for it...
1/ I can't tolerate alcohol
2/ I get social phobia at partiesAny ideas anyone?
I really wanted to go because I've lived abroad for 21 years (Australia) now I'm back in England..

Don't go, or get some amphetamine.
Was it a good time for you? Is your social phobia reasonable? I decided mine was.

dexamphetamine and a benzo has always helped me with social anxiety terror situations

I already take dexamphetamine and memantine. I've tried a larger dose plus a benzo, it made me slightly worse. Yet when I did the same 2 weeks ago I did alright.
I'm on dex
memantine
lamotrigine
low dose amisulpride
prozac
mirtazipine
and some salt and pepper! They give me the ability to be around people and have a sense of humour but at parties I just feel left behind. If I try to drink it makes it just makes me flat..

If I try to drink it makes it just makes me flat..I'd say...just IMHO...YMMV...but double the Dex..lose the memantine for the night...high-dose Xanax and Ativan are beautiful icebreakers!! Too much dopamine can cause anxiety...so can too much serotonin...and norepinephrenine, well we are at it. Dex is nice and smooth. Maybe try Vyvanse, and try some dextromethorphan (DXM). Just be careful!
Maybe some Percs would go the extra mile! I don't do that everyday, but to celebrate, yeah! Maybe even 40-50mg of THC.Jay

If I were in your situation, and I had access to opiates, I would take some. They are more potent anxiolytics than benzodiazepines, and produce less cognitive impairment.

>Why lose the memantine?
Because it won't help you for the event.
(I've taken it and liked it enough.)

You may have taken more than me.
I tried to make tianeptine useful for a similar event without success.
At least amphetamine and opiates work.
Sometimes people can work it out for themselves. Leonard Cohen was giving a concert in Israel and for some reason could not go on. He retired to his room back stage and took a tab of acid(!). He assumed the concert was over. Then he heard the audience singing some special Jewish song to him. On hearing this he was so moved he went back on stage and during 'So Long Marianne' it was as if there was a giant Marianne coming out of the audience in front of him.

Enough may be as little as 10 mg, or as much as 60 mg or more.

Lyrica and gabapentin are better for this than benzos.

Take a deep breath and remember that everyone is insecure to some degree. Or at least everyone should be.

>Yes but I wasn't very talkative. Fortunately there were only 3 from my year! All girls and 2 didn't recognise me! The 3rd one, I think, liked me too much. But who could blame her, hey Lamdage..! ;)
