Was just about to post this. Really great news. 1) For the potential anti-cancer effect, and 2) For continued manufacturing of Naril/Marplan/Parnate....

I know there was a big shortage of Nardil earlier in the year. And I'm also always concerned my beloved Marplan will once again be discontinued (only one company makes it).

MAOI, besides unfortunately leading to Psychosis in the end, left my feelings untouched. SRI type was more of a chemical straightjacket. Does that make sense, or is it only me?

In my experience, SRIs promote apathy. As for feelings, I didn't notice anything, but that is probably because my feelings were already blunted from depersonalisation.

Depersonalization? That's horrible.

I had more of a derealization. It hit me extremely hard when I was 20 years old. It lingered for decades thereafter. My doctor thinks that both conditions might occur as the result of a combination of anhedonia and anxiety.

It could be much more severe than it is. In any case I'm used to it, so I barely notice it.

I have that too. Reality seems not fully real.

I believe it can be anxiety-related, but I don't think anhedonia has to do with it, at least not for me.

MAOI's seem to have other benefits besides being antidepressants. My doctor was gonna use Marplan, we were discussing it, but i decided to stay with fluoxetine since im used to it's effects. I know i've wrote this before, but i did some research, fluoxetine is the 'least' selective, i've read it's the lesser effective SSRI due to long period to work, and being least selective. 80mg only dose that works for me. I wanted to go on Marplan, but going through antidepressant withdrawl, i just stay with prozac. I want to research more about MAOI's
