Ive tried so many different treatments over the past 10 years, from SSRIs to ECT. I contacted a Clinical Trial in Texas using DBS for Treatment Resistant Depression. Felt quite excited about it. This trial uses a new technique that targets different areas of the brain if one area doesnt help. I did my interview for it on the phone this morning. The lady said based on the interview Id be a good candidate for their trial, then said my name would be added to their list of applicants, and that I may or may not get a call by early next year :O
The Trial is only recruiting a total of 12 people.DBS isnt FDA Approved for Depression. But Im out of other options. Ive tried so many treatments, approved and off-label. Im out of ideas. Ive thought of begging and pleading with the folks running the Clinical Trial, but Im sure thatll only get nowhere.... lol...
Does anyone on Psychobabble have any ideas on how I can get DBS for my Depression, ASAP?

I don't know about DBS. Someone here at one point tried it. (I believe.) You can search down in the search bar and see if anything comes up.
Have you tried ketamine infusion?

Apologies for all the posts! Have you searched Reddit? There's current talk over there on various forums about DBS for Parkinson's, which isn't what you're looking for, but I provide a link in case you want to poke around and you already haven't.

Have you ever had depression relevant blood markers checked? DBS is very invasive and you can't undo it.

If you are deficient in nutrients all the meds in the world wont help, at least not long term.

Doctors are more likely to drill a freakin hole in your skull than to check your vitamins. With their own diagnostic criteria, that is Schizophrenia!

Not all doctors to be fair. But far too many.
