It seems almost every ad I get on, I sleep for about 20 hours (mind you I have a bad cold right now), live in total APATHY, and am just SCARED, all the freakin time, SCARED. Scared and Apathetic.
Sometimes, the aap's seem to help...I found Latuda, in small doses, like 20mg, helps. But abilify drives me CRAZY...like a zillion times worse. AntiEpilepticDrugs leave me apathetic.
Now, to crush the anxiety, I pop a handful of Tylenol 2's, and a couple of clonazepam.
I am thinking of trying Dilantin, and asking for .5mg of Ativan 2-3 times a day.
Anyone else have experience with Dilantin? It seems to have a bit of a nasty side-effect profile.
Tonight, I have also taken my regular Effexor, 225mg dose at bedtime. I didn't take my Amitriptyline 50mg dose at bedtime, because this makes me even feel more like crap.
Any help...greatly appreciated!!

Yeah, for the sake of your liver, hopefully you can find something more effective than T2s.
Do you have specific phobias related to leaving the house? Is it a social phobia or a COVID phobia?
Effexor helps my depression marginally, but weed is the only thing that seems to help my apathy. I use some medical 2:1 CBD:THC which really seems to help.

Online counseling. Therapy can help you set small goals ie: a little walk infront of your house or something. By meeting them, you can become more comfortable.

Or even go to your mailbox, get the mail. I don't know how bad your fear of leaving the house is. And what exactly it is that you are so afraid of. Sometimes it helps to get to the bottom of things through therapy.

>Well, I have had GAD...as far as I can remember in Grade 2, sitting in my chair, terrified, and peeing my pants, and getting scolded by the teacher. (Mind you this was 1975) This continued for a long time...up to current day.
Much of it is, I don't have a lot of money, live in a drug-infested neighbourhood (Like crack, cocaine, fentanyl) on disability (I have always had a good paying job) and feel like I could die at any moment, etc. I have recently tried calling my local hospital about CBT, as I am actually learning in school how to administer it. I am also interested in DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy) because I seem to have a sign of Borderline Personality Disorder, but not enough to make it a primary Dx.
Dilantin seems like less of an intense mood stabilizer then most. But, I do have a vape pen, and may look into the CBD/THC combo. I know I gotta lay off the T2's...like you said, for my liver's sake.
Thanks kindly,
Jay

Well, I take my dog for a walk, twice-a-day..have for years. The only way I feel a bit of comfort is with my headphones and phone with spotify. That way, I can drown the whole world out. I am in my zone, and nobody can do *anything* to me. I am not so much afraid physically, because I am a 5'11", 240 pound guy. But, my fear is of mean, critical people. And yes, I do need to get this addressed in therapy. I am working on trying to get these things from my local hospital. Thanks kindly,
Jay

That is good. Let us know how it goes. I have a similar fear. I would embarrass myself and people would be cruel.

Hey,
Dilantin might be worth looking at. I find the combination of magnesium and CBD pretty potent for anxiety. My anxiety is under control now, but I've more been dealing with depression in the past few weeks. My appetite is crap and I barely have enough energy to lift my head. I feel completely dead inside.

> LinkadgeYeah, this time of year doesn't help, either. Anxiety is so-so, but my gawd, could I use a nice inflation of heart and soul.

I'm trying some chronotherapy with lithium. My effexor doesn't seem to be doing much (or making things worse). I wish I could switch back to escitalopram as I think it was helping me more.
