so....this is what happned, i had severe phenibut withdrawl i had to into treatmement, hospitalized, whatever you do, do not take this thing at moderate to high doses, and then abruply stopping it. I was awake for 3 days because all my GABA recepectors were inactive, it was tthe most hellish experince i've expereinced till now. I got the unit, the detox, they used librium (not lithium) 200mg daily, i took 50mg (2 25mg) librium capsules to purge the mania and sweating, it took litterlyl days for the librium tio work because of tolerance to GABA receptors, it was a a skyrocket dose of librium, because i came near having siezures, i finally got to sleep for 8 hours after taking 50mg of libium in the detox center, i still have linbering anxiety, its bad im on nuerotontin but it doenst seem to help, my anxiety right now is bad, this is a history momenet of learning to not take substance that is from forign country and its over the counter in the US, librium......i relaxed, but it takes about 30min- hour to start working, its not intermidate like valium and xanax. If you read about detox centers and rehabs mosnstly they use librium for wwithdraw, they didnt use ativan. In he psych unit, the put me on lithium, i hated it, i got off it, too stablizaing blunts the mood. So, librium was used for detox. I still have stingning anxeinty, im going to have to work with these psychatic hospital to adjust meds. I have to comply with the psych hospital guidelines. I'm now in a out patient progrram, they discontinued librium, because its only used in hospization. I urge anyone who takes phenibut to be very causious, i went into hospitlization because of the withdrawls

I tried phenibut: no effect whatever. And its taste is very unpleasant, which is another reason not to take it.

chlordiazepoxide was actually releiving, but it was weaker than the other benzos, but i was a skyrocket dose due to tremor and siezures, it takea a long time to work too, i had to have it during the phenibut withdrawl, first day on chlordiazepoxide it had nearly no effect, due to gaba tolerance and finally it leveled out
im back on track and better but still have modererate anxiety that i have deal with

im out of hospitalization and rehab, so phenibut is never going in my system again, no wonder FDA is after the stores who sell. But one thing, ill say in experience, if it is taken at 500-1000mg it will not hurt or have severe withdrawl, its around 2000-3000mg that causes hell.
I've left hospital, had to comply but im back.
