It appears that Teva has resumed making generic lamotrigine. I read that they were going to do this quite awhile ago. The old Teva lamotrigine was the best. Be advised that the new version, Lamotrigine XR is an extended release medication that is likely to be a different formulation if the old version was not an extended release. I don't think it was.

I think they've had this for a while. Also sadly think it's manufactured by Actavis and not Teva themselves.
I haven't taken it so I can't speak to its effectiveness.
Wish there was an "authorized generic" for lamictal Authorized generics are the brand just sold under a different label.....I think a shady deal early on between Glaxo and Teva around the time when the patent was running out cost the chance of an authorized generic though :(
If you try this Teva XR please comment on how it works.

I liked how their packs of generics has scannable bar-codes to help prevent corruption in developing nations like NZL.
I mean, imagine if there was a scannable bar-code on a prescription for a medication and a scannable bar-code on a packet of medication...
And a patient scanned the prescription and the packet of medication...
Then the hydroxycloroquinine could get to the people with maleria (rather than being stolen by their healthcare provider).
It's ingenious.
