The efficacy of valerian as a herbal sedative is only weakly supported by research
evidence_
Sage has been reported to improve cognitive function and reduce agitation in patients
with mild to moderate Alzheimer disease.

INTRODUCTION
This article discusses the quality of evidence supporting mental health benefits and
risks of 4 widely used herbal medicines: saffron (Crocus satins), passionflower
(Passifbra ircarnata), valerian (Valeriana of and sage (Salvia officinalis).
SAFFRON (C sArivus)
Saffron, the world's most expensive spice, is derived from the flower of C sativus.
Originating in Crete, Csativus has been used for thousands of years and is mentioned
in a seventh century sic Assyrian botanic text. Although it has been propagated
throughout Eurasia and other continents, Iran produces 90% of the world's saffron
and generates most of the research into its potential medical uses.

potent ones, are ginkgo biloba, rhodiola, ginseng, SAM-e....ginseng gives energy, rhodiola kinda doese but not like ginseng, sam-e definitely does increase you mood, i just wanted to add to that
