Hey guys, this is a tough decision for me. My microbiome is not optimal at all according to the health practicioner. And my depression started around the time when i was given a completely futile antibiotic. I actually had an allergy, not bacteria.

I dunno. There are some risks associated with it (unsure of the likelihood). I'm not sure if you can get things screened beforehand. Have you tried probiotics? If not, you might start there first.

Fecal transplants are safe if the following has been done:
A potential donor will need to be screened by their physician for infectious pathogens by undergoing the following tests:
Blood tests: Hepatitis A, B, and C serologies; HIV; RPR
Stool tests: Ova and parasites; C. difficile PCR; culture and sensitivity; giardia antigen

Thanks. I will ask if they do that. I will be swallowing these as a frozen pill, won't do colonoscopy or anything.

Fascinating that your depression might be related to taking antibiotics. My depression became worse with probiotics (it took me a long time to figure out the correlation). After a week of doxycycline I was back to where I was pre-probiotic. I hate how these little creatures have so much influence on us!
When I tried the antibiotic Flagyl for SIBO (sm intestinal bacteria overgrowth) I became very depressed but it when away after I stopped (not sure if it was from the medication or the changes to my microbiome). Google told me that there have been others with negative responses.
(I'm not against probiotics, they might be what you need.)
I didn't know you could take these as pills...?
I'm just curious, do you have any reactions from food?
If you do it, keep us posted!

I am VERY interested in this. What country are you doing it in? Please keep us updated if you go through with it. I really think this is the wave of the future (gut bacteria).

They want to greatly reduce the cost for me.
This is the end of the thread.
