If you really don't want to switch, I would voice this concern.

There is no such thing as 'old school'.

Imipramine is probably the most effective antidepressant (alongside amitriptyline and the MAOIs) yet, they are as old as they come.

The only concern really, is the metabolic interactions. However, these just mean that you may need less of other medications.

If it's not broken, don't fix it!

It depends on how many other meds you are taking.

Also, just because it raises levels of other drugs, that doesn't mean its a bad thing. Many psych meds are not taking on a exact dosing basis. It just may mean you get by with less medication (cheaper).

Depends whether you want to stay on Luvox. What did you decide to do?

Changing a psych meds because it is 'trouble' is not a sensible reason if it is working well. If it is not working well, then fair enough.
