I'm on Zonegran 100 since a whole of 1 hour. I would like to know how to prevent some of the more problematic sides - kidney disease and acidosis? Any tips to keep well and anything I can take like supps or drugs to throw off the carbonic anhydrase inhib. side effects if I get them? How frequently are renal and blood counts necessary? And also to avoid DIHS or rashy things. I'm ethnically Indian (not American Indian) if that matters. I don't trust the doctor to do his crap properly.

Hi, I take 300mg daily as a preventative for migraine. No side effects whatever for me nor kidney function affected. Perhaps speak with your pharmacist? I have been on this regimen for 10 years or so.
