Ability for MDD with psychotic features. But I can't tolerate abilify in the long run (massive weight gain), so number 2 choice is parnate, which I take with some success.

Thanks for sharing.
No number 2 choices :)
I'm just wondering, if you had to make a decision about 1.

As you know, I have bipolar depression with antidepressant-induced severe manias. Because of this, it is necessary for me to take a second drug to prevent the mania.
So far, the drug that has made me feel best is Nardil.

out of all the meds, prozac ... it makes the depression go away, it's not a miracle med, but i notice i will sink into bad states, i noticed it just keeps you at baseline
another one....which im joking or havign sarcasm, dexedrine - main reason is it helped me do studies, and complete things....all these doctors and blah who made such big deal about it being a bad med, they didnt see how much deterioration it caused when it was discontinued, ... it helped me complete and do tasks and study....i could focus and have stable thought.....but that is just ... one things said
that's all, i've resorted to find other treatments, but if one med would be : prozac

In my previous post, I stated that I felt best when taking Nardil.
I thought that it might be important that you know what my non-MAOI choice would be. Effexor.

Cymbalta.
It may not work for everybody, but it worked really well for me, minimal side-effects at 60-90 mg/day. Unfortunately, my govt. drug plan doesn't cover it & I can't afford it. Effexor either wins on the averages or has better marketing, but I get severe anxiety & can't take it. So now I'm on a cocktail of 4 meds -- which certainly doesn't save the govt. money!
This is the end of the thread.
