me: ADD-pi + depression.
a few months ago we tried evekeo (like adderall, but 50% racemic) with lexapro.
ssris usually make me lethargy and unmotivated. evekeo makes me somewhat productive but nervous and depressed.
The thinking was this combo would balance each other out.
In fact, it just made me feel like I had too much coffee. Weird buzzy overstimulation. Very debilitating and unpleasant.
This week I'm trying effexor and strattera (Both low dosages). Same weird effect.
this is really frustrating.

Interesting. I found that adding adderall to Celexa made me way to racy. Helped with sexual SE, and some focus, but got too fiendy in the end.
I was told that Adderall hits serotonergic receptors, not just the NE and DA ones, so that might account.
I find stimulants much more tolerable on effexor (low dose) although in itself effexor isn't as helpful with mood. It's almost like I need the stim for mood and the effexor is more stabilizing.
This is the end of the thread.
