Reason why i am quiting is a nasty side effect and effects on negative symptoms.
Going back on seroquel XR temporary, because of stability issues and paranoia outside.
I am interested in the medication Saphris 5 mg at night instead of Seroquel XR.
but
I want to take it only once daily if possible at night. not sleeping during daytime is this possible with Saphris?

hi. I read a case study (not the best evidence, but...still...) in which a shrink mixed abilify with loxapine. Loxapine is considered a typical, but low(ish) doses can be (supposedly...) atypical-ish in terms of tolerability.
Maybe try that at night? Here in the US, loxapine is used in inhalation form to treat acute agitation in bipolar I and schizophrenia. I think the dose is fairly low, so it is hopefully well-tolerated. Certainly better than high dose haldol injections.

My friend gets an energizing and antidepressant effect during the day from it. Her sleep / wake cycle has been normal for 4 years. Saphris should be dosed twice a day. If you can get Saphris, there is no harm in trying it. If you don't like it, just can stop taking it. What I recommend is that you post your results every day. It might help to encourage you to be patient and get through the startup side effects so that you don't stop taking it too soon.

I'm sorry to hear that jeroen...
You may feel like it was a failure on your side but it's not.
You tried what you hoped would work and it could have been any chemical, it just didn't fit your body.I tried phenylpiracetam and it pooped out for me + maid me fall back into a borderline paychosis and start using drugs again.
So I'm glad it didn't cause you any big problems (what I know of) and that you realized it fast enough.
I imagine that you have tried everything by now but have you thought of going back to something old that did work for a longer period back in the days?
I was doing just fine on olanzapine back in 2011 and did quit for bs reasons like gaining weight when I should have started exercise more instead of jumping on a train that lead me to 30 different chemicals that did not work by far as well as olanzapine.
Just saying that only because something didn't work all the way 5 or even 20 years ago, it doesn't mean it could never work again.
Think back to when you had a good period in your life and rethink something's.
Just a tip :-) I'm certainly not a professional.
But if you are like me and many people here you have already tried is out there to try, and it doesn't have to be a bad thing, quite the opposite cause you don't have to go through it again.
Love / J

Yes. Besides, a previously-tried drug might work better when used in a previously-untried combination.
