You might attract Lou Pilder to reply to your post. I would be surprised if it didn't. Please consider ignoring any subsequent comments he may make. Ignoring trolls really does help.
How are you?
My ups and downs have been radical over this last week. My doctor has been adjusting my treatment.

Yea....i've noticed even when people blast Lou, it's like firing at him and he only absorbs the energy and keeps going......he accuses anyone of being anti-jewish, and frivilous arguements of defamation when he's the one that imaginarely creating these scenarios in his mind, but here on babble the reason people are defame him because he...just doesnt learn, it's like a repeat of gibberish, blast him all you can, he will use that as energy......like a troll
he does have a right, and does make a it a good point about medication combinations can cause death, yes in a small percentage it does, but the manner he portrays it to others is offensive and accusing and plays the victim, frequently refers to "the hsiung" preventing him of disclosing secret knowedge, which i think is a delusion, but maybe dr-bob did, but we will never know, just wanting this mess he's created and polluted these boards with proganda and spam.....let him continue but let his name be known on the internet, for all his tactics and to avoided

> - ScottHi, Scott. Sorry to hear of your ups and downs. That's pretty much the norm for me. No Rhyme or reason to it. Long-standing major depression for me, but I definitely have my ups and downs.
For the heck of it, I tried Kratom for the first time tonight. It's pretty relaxing. I was just curious about it (and I have back issues as well), as I just learned of its existence a few weeks ago, and then only because it'll likely be banned at the end of September.
I hope you're doing well.

> Friends,
The poster here is promoting a drug called Kratom.
He does not post even the most harmful consequences of the drug that could seriously mislead you to think that the drug is safer than it really is.
The drug is illegal in parts of the U.S. now and totally at the end of this month and is illegal in many countries.
It comes from a tree in the growing areas of opium. It is easily made more powerful than morphine and addictive and could cause death.
This is all allowed by Mr. Hsiung here to mislead you into taking this drug for he says that support takes precedence. He does not intercede with a warning and to promote an illegal drug in his website in my understanding could lead to criminal prosecution of him in some jurisdictions. The tragedy here is that the poster does not want me to post this warning. Why not?
You see, members here could be easily persuaded by a psychiatrist as he has a powerful influence over the members here. This influence could lead to your death or the death of children thinking that the drug is safer than it really is and go to the gas station and take the drug and die. This then makes this community a community off death.

When you feel worse, are there any physical symptoms?
When my depression gets worse, I experience teeth-clenching (bruxism), changes in bowel function, delayed micturition and reduced urine flow, reduction of eye pupil size, dry mouth, dizziness, body aches and pains, feeling cold, muscle weakness, heart palpitations, and clumsiness. I'm sure I can come up with a few more.

>Not many physical symptoms for me. I went on the med merry-go-round years ago, and came away from the whole situation knowing that only a few meds were of any benefit for me, and then, only at small doses. In the vast majority of cases, the cure was worse than what ailed me, but there're a couple that can keep the wolves at bay. I no longer think of meds as a means of magic transformation, just a way to take the edge of depression off. And that's a nice thing of itself.
Anyway, as to physical symptoms, don't really have them, other than insomnia, but I associate that as much with depression as I do with meds. When my depression is more pronounced, I do feel like I have a heavy head, though, and thinking is more difficult. I'd imagine that that is pretty standard fare depression symptoms.
Anyway, I'm a long time occasional peruser of this forum. Usually check in every now and again to see what peoples experiences are with new meds that come on the market.
Shame the way the board has deteriorated in recent years.
I really wish you well, Scott. I know from checking in periodically that you've had a very long struggle of your own, and that you're very generous with your knowledge around here. You're probably the most knowledgeable patient I've ever read. I suspect you could put some doctors to shame.
Best, Marc

Be careful with the kratom. A friend of mine became paranoid and delusional while taking it. I'm not sure what dosage he was taking, but it was a lot. He took it several times a day for months.

Thanks, Hugh. I was just curious about it because of all the recent hubbub with the FDA deciding to schedule it. Having tried it a couple of times, I think I can pass on it. I'm just always on the lookout for something to mitigate depression.
The next thing in the pipeline that looks interesting to me is Rapastinal. Could be a long wait for that, though.

So am I. The treatment in the pipeline that interests me the most is low-field magnetic stimulation.
This is the end of the thread.
