Hello, everyone,
I'm looking back over my blood work for the past decade-ish, and it is clear to me that no matter what I do, my vitamin D and B12 levels seem to remain in the chronically low end of "normal." (My vitamin D chronically hovers in the low 30 ng/mL range while my vitamin B12 hovers in the 200 pg/mL range.)
Of course, if I didn't have such low energy, feel like such crap all the time, I probably wouldn't even contemplate the meaning of these numbers. The doctor I am seeing now considers these numbers "normal" and doesn't (appear to) think they have anything to do with my mood issues. However, from what I can gather on the Internet, many people seem to consider the numbers of I have abnormal, and possibly influencing some of my mood-anxiety-depression symptoms.
Another point: I live in sunny southern California and spend much time out in the sun. I made a point of taking some long bike rides at the beach the month before getting my latest blood work. However, no matter how much time I spend outside in the sun, my vitamin D level seems to stay at a constant level in the 30s.
I have taken the high dose vitamin D and B12 supplements (several different types/brands) for months at a time (on multiple occasions) and not noticed any significant benefit in my mood-anxiety-depression symptoms. So, perhaps the low vitamin D, B12 are not involved at all in my mood issues? Uncertain.

Linkage,
Hey, thanks for responding, and linking me to the new "psych-med-babble" forum. I'm going to get back to you in that new forum soon, when I have time (later today).
